The Career Guidance & Counseling Cell of the College is established to support students in making informed academic and career choices through systematic guidance and counseling. The Cell promotes holistic development, employability, and multiple career pathways, including higher education, research, and entrepreneurship. It functions as a student-centric support system, addressing diverse aspirations and abilities while ensuring equity and inclusion, particularly for students from Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs).

  1. To operationalize NEP 2020’s vision of holistic student development by enabling informed career choices based on aptitude, interest, and multidisciplinary exposure.
  2. To enhance student employability and career preparedness through structured guidance, skill orientation, and career planning support.
  3. To promote equity and inclusion in career access ensuring counseling support for students from Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs).
  4. To encourage multiple career pathways, including higher education, research, entrepreneurship, and self-employment, in line with lifelong learning principles.
  5. To strengthen institutional mechanisms for student progression and placement, contributing to measurable graduate outcomes.
  1. Organize career guidance programmes such as seminars, workshops, alumni interactions, and industry expert talks to expose students to emerging career opportunities.
  2. Provide individual and group career counseling, addressing academic planning, career transitions, higher studies, and personal career challenges.
  3. Conduct aptitude, interest, and skill assessment activities to guide students toward suitable and diverse career options.
  4. Disseminate information on employment, internships, competitive examinations, scholarships, and entrepreneurship opportunities through systematic communication channels.
  5. Coordinate employability and career-readiness training such as resume building, interview skills, soft skills, and digital competencies in collaboration with placement cells and academic departments.
