The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) Cell offers structured Bridge Courses to support students especially for newly admitted students. It is aimed at helping the moderate and below moderate level students belonging to the SEDGs at the entry-level to bridge the gap between the courses studied at the previous level and those to be examined at the entry level of the new academic program that students have been admitted to. These courses are designed to address learning gaps and build strong foundational skills essential for academic success. Subjects such as mathematics, computers, communication skills, and accounting are offered based on students’ needs. The bridge programmes help students transition smoothly into their regular curriculum with greater confidence.
Generally, in the beginning of July, College conducts bridge course for mathematics.
The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) Cell offers an Earn-While-Learn Scheme to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. It helps students to develop their personality, gain technical skills, and build their entrepreneurial ability, which will help them to take up professional assignments relatively faster. The Cell explores sponsorships and external funding support to ensure fair remuneration for participating students. The scheme reduces financial stress and encourages self-reliance among students. Overall, the Earn-While-Learn Scheme promotes dignity of labour and inclusive educational development.
Generally, students are provided with library assignments as a part of this scheme.
