The Women Development Cell (WDC) is an integral part of the College that aims to promote the overall development, empowerment, and well-being of women students, faculty, and staff. It is established with the objective of creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment where women are encouraged to pursue academic excellence, personal growth, and leadership opportunities without discrimination or fear. The Cell reflects the Institution’s commitment to gender equality, social justice, and respect for women’s rights.
The Women Development Cell works proactively to sensitize the College community to gender-related issues and to foster positive attitudes through awareness programs, workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions. These initiatives focus on important areas such as women’s health and hygiene, mental well-being, legal awareness, career guidance, self-defense, and personality development. By addressing these aspects, the Cell helps women build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience to face social, academic, and professional challenges.
In addition to its developmental role, the Women Development Cell acts as a support system by providing guidance and a safe platform for women to express concerns or seek assistance. It collaborates with various institutional committees and external organizations to ensure the protection of women’s rights and the promotion of a respectful campus culture. Overall, the Women Development Cell strives to empower women with knowledge, skills, and opportunities, enabling them to become confident individuals and responsible contributors to society.
