The NSS Unit of our college is serving with a primary purpose of developing a sense of social and civic responsibility among the students, to identify the needs and problems of the community and work with the community to solve them. In this process, the unit also aims to enhance the personality of the Participating Volunteers. NSS volunteers are involved in social work to complete 120 hours of regular activities during an academic year. On completion of the 120 hours the students are rewarded with 10 grace marks. The Special campaign programme is treated as a separate project and the hours of work put in these programmes are accounted separately. As per university O.229, students participating in NSS activities are eligible for 10 grace marks in their exam results.
The College has received several awards and accolades for NSS activities.
